Early Beginnings:
The very 1st Casino in Ontario was a Riverboat Casino in Windsor that was named The Northern Belle. It was located on the Detroit River and started operations in December 1995. The Northern Belle ceased operations once the permanent Casino Windsor, now known as Caesars Windsor, opened on July 29, 1998.
Ontario's first commercial Casino, Casino Rama opened its doors on July 31, 1996, in Rama, Ontario, Canada. As Ontario's only First Nations "commercial casino" and the largest First Nations casino in Canada,
